Rodney King
A group of LA Police officers viciously beat motorist Rodney King. Unknown to the officers however, the incident was caught on video. Four officers were arrested and sent to trial. However, the four officers accused of beating Los Angeles motorist Rodney King were found not guilty.
The verdict provoked the worst rioting in America in the 20th century. In three days 54 people died and $1bn worth of damage was caused. |
