This ashtray was found by my mom and dad in 2002 when we moved into our house. It was found buried really deep down in our garden (in the Gleadless area of Sheffield.) They also found some coins dated in the 1800's near it. My mom and dad tried to contact the people who use to live in our house but they could not be found.
HMS Tiger was built by John Brown in June 1912 Completed 1914 at a cost of £2,1000,000. She was badly damaged at the Battle of Jutland after being hit ten times but resumed duties with the Battle Cruiser Fleet after repairs.
