Lifeline
This month's 麻豆社 Lifeline Appeal is made on behalf of PMRGCAuk, which is dedicated to supporting people affected by polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) and giant cell arteritis (GCA), two related inflammatory conditions that most commonly affect people over 50.
PMR causes severe pain and stiffness, while GCA is a medical emergency: left undiagnosed, it can cause sudden and permanent sight loss within days.
