A pile of presents

Unwanted presents...wanted!

A local charity is appealing to people in Berkshire to donate their unwanted Christmas presents. They'll be auctioned off to new homes and raise much needed cash at the same time. Find out more here.

Let's face it, even the best intentioned presents sometimes just don't hit the mark.

If you're wondering what to do with your unwanted Christmas presents, or like me are now in possession of your fourth bird feeder, in a garden without any birds don't worry, help is at hand.

Local children's charity, Alexander Devine Children鈥檚 Cancer Trust, is appealing for Berkshire to donate it's unwanted presents which can be used for raffle and auction prizes, so that they can raise vital funds for the Children's hospice in 2008.

So not only can you be assured that your presents will find a new loving home, but you'll be supporting a great charity too.

How to donate

All you need to do is contact the trust directly on 0845 055 8276 who will arrange a collection for you.

About the Trust

Alexander Devine Children鈥檚 Cancer Trust has been set up in memory of Alexander Devine who was diagnosed with a rare brain tumour in November 2001 when he was just four years old.

The long term aim for Alexander鈥檚 Trust is to build and fund a Children鈥檚 Hospice in the Berkshire area.

Alexander House will be a home from home environment providing respite and quality time for the whole family, palliative care, specialist respite care, 24 hour emergency care, advice and bereavement information and support for the family.
