I stare at you and you stare back and the alcohol and the nicotine
dance through my brain like the revellers I know surround us.
I should be able to hear them but I can’t should be able to see
them but I can’t should be afraid but I am not.
Because.
It is you and it is me and this is us.
And it is more exquisite than I ever thought possible.
