         <title>Update: &apos;A Very Dangerous Doctor&apos; </title>
         <description><![CDATA[<p>In June 2009, Panorama examined the case of  best known for accusing a man of killing his children after seeing him interviewed in a television documentary.</p>

<p>With exclusive access to Professor Southall at a time when was very much back in the spotlight in the aftermath of the death of Baby Peter Connelly (known only as Baby P at the time) the programme met the doctor when his career as a top consultant was hanging in the balance. </p>

<p>The General Medical Council has now announced that it will not rehear the one outstanding case against him, bringing to an end 16 years of cases against him.</p>

<p>Last year, he was also cleared of serious professional misconduct allegations relating to his record keeping in two cases.</p>

<p>Professor Southall has indicated that he  in relation to the cases brought against him.</p>

         <title>Meet the Burglars </title>
         <description><![CDATA[<p><br />
Victims of burglary and other crimes are increasingly being offered the opportunity to meet the criminals who offended against them, in a controversial scheme aimed at empowering victims and potentially cut levels of re-offending among former prisoners.</p>

<p>Panorama reporter Raphael Rowe goes into a jail to witness a tense encounter between two young women and the youth who broke into their home while they slept.</p>

<p>Meetings between victims and offenders have proved to be remarkably successful in cutting reoffending and allowing victims to recover far more quickly.</p>

<p>The government wants to see more of these restorative justice meetings used in the criminal justice system following all types of crimes.</p>

<p>Another victim of a horrific attack reveals to Panorama how her true motive in agreeing to meet her burglar was to get revenge and kill him.</p>
