In relation to your presenter with who suffers with food get stuck with severe pain, she is likely to have a significant oesophageal motility problem of which the classic is achalasia. She needs to be referred by her GP to a Consultant Gastroenterologist as this condition needs to be professionally diagnosed and treated - and yes there are treatments to help her!
