Vince tells Howard his latest story about Charlie who's made of bubblegum. Charlie melts and is reconstituted as a hoover by a passing crocodile. Howard refuses to believe that Charlie is real and goes on to offer Vince a job as his 'writer's caddy' when he becomes a famous author.
