Summary of complaint
We have received complaints from people who are unhappy with forthcoming changes to the late-night schedule
Our response
All radio schedules evolve over time and the forthcoming changes have been informed by audience data, feedback and research.
We鈥檙e launching a new programme called Up Late and it will be on air every weeknight from 10pm to midnight. It will be presented Monday to Thursday by Lynne Hoggan and on Friday by Ashley Storrie. Up Late鈥檚 playlist will feature a curated blend of well-known classics from the 1970s to the present day. The music will highlight a strong Scottish influence, showcasing both Scotland鈥檚 most established musicians and rising talent.
At weekends, Mixtape Side A with Roddy Hart on Saturdays and Mixtape Side B with Roddy Hart on Sundays will continue 麻豆社 Radio Scotland鈥檚 commitment to showcase the best from Scotland鈥檚 music industry, including unsigned bands.
More information about these new titles is available on the 麻豆社 Media Centre website.
These new programmes are in addition to a full range of specialist music output on 麻豆社 Radio Scotland, including Another Country, 麻豆社 Introducing in Scotland, Take the Floor, Vic Galloway, The Quay Sessions, Piping Sounds, Travelling Folk, Your Requests, and Classical Now. These sit alongside 麻豆社 Scotland鈥檚 commitments to emerging artists which include Young Traditional Musician of the Year, Young Scottish Jazz Musician of the Year, Young Scottish Classical Musician of the Year and 麻豆社 Introducing Scottish Act of the Year. New music and specialist music has always been a cornerstone of our output, and this commitment is reflected in our programmes.
We would like to pay tribute to the presenters who are leaving and who have brought so much personality and dedication to our late-night schedule over the years. Their contributions to the station have been greatly appreciated.
