Complaint
A viewer complained about a range of editorial issues related to this programme, in particular how the evidence relating to Babies F and L was presented. The ECU considered the complaint against the standards for accuracy and impartiality set out in the 麻豆社 Editorial Guidelines.
Outcome
The ECU carefully considered each point raised but concluded in every case that the programme had fairly represented the views of the experts interviewed and provided sufficient context to justify the way the material was presented. It did not agree there had been misrepresentation or fabrication of the views of Professor Chase, who featured on the programme, nor that viewers were likely to have been misled on the issue of whether it was possible for a baby to accumulate high levels of insulin naturally.
