Q:Ìý What has your career involved so far?

A:Ìý I started out as a newspaper journalist and worked on daily papers in Shropshire and then right here in Coventry. Working at Â鶹Éç Coventry and Warwickshire is my very first broadcasting job and I love it!

Q:Ìý What does your job involve?

A:Ìý It’s very varied - from reading the news or reporting live, to producing a programme or recording an interview. I recently ran a project called CovScape – looking at the big regeneration plans for Coventry, and nowadays I’m responsible for health stories, south east Coventry, and the city centre, so I’ve always got plenty going on!

Q:Ìý What do you like the most about Â鶹Éç Coventry & Warwickshire?

A:Ìý Has to be the people - my colleagues are great to work with, I get to meet and report on some really interesting and inspiring people, and I love chatting to our listeners on the phone and in the open centre, they’re all so friendly!

Q:Ìý What's your favourite place in Coventry and Warwickshire?

A:Ìý Stratford. It’s amazing that we’ve got somewhere so culturally important right on our doorstep. I love watching plays at the RST and feeding the swans in the summer.

Q:Ìý Who's your favourite person?

A:Ìý I have lots of favourite people – definitely my parents and three or four best friends, but I couldn’t possibly choose one because I like them all for different reasons!

Q:Ìý What's your favourite hobby?

A:Ìý Shopping! I don’t normally like exercise but I’ll quite happily put in five miles around a city centre wearing stiletto heels and carrying my own bodyweight in bags…

Q:Ìý Your favourite food?

A: Spicy food of the Mexican or Indian variety… I also love pretty much any kind of cheese. Not very healthy I’m afraid!

Q:Ìý Your favourite drink?

A:Ìý Good red wine

Q:Ìý Favourite song?

A:Ìý I’m a huge fan of heavy metal so that’s hard to answer because nobody will know any of my favourites! Top non-weird song… maybe Paint it Black by the Rolling Stones? Although that’s still a little on the obscure side isn’t it?

A:Ìý City of God

A:Ìý I was a member of a small circus troupe for a number of years and can ride a unicycle. Incidentally, my unicycle was made just down the road at Pashley’s…
