Continue enjoying Â鶹Éç Radio Devon

If you’re listening to Â鶹Éç Radio Devon on 855 AM in Plymouth, you’ll need to re-tune your radio before the start of April.

From 1 April 2007, Â鶹Éç Radio Devon won’t be available on 855 AM in Plymouth. We’re going to use the frequency for the digital medium-wave trial, which means it won’t be receivable on existing radios.

But don’t worry: all you need to do to keep listening to Â鶹Éç Radio Devon is to switch to FM. You can continue to listening to the Plymouth service – including Sparksy at breakfast time and coverage of Plymouth Argyle – by tuning to 95.7 FM.

Re-tuning to FM is fairly straightforward for most people: you just need to select FM on your radio and tune to 95.7. You’ll find us between Â鶹Éç Radio Four and Â鶹Éç Radio One.

If you need further advice, or for tips about getting the best FM reception, have a look at the FM reception guide from the Receiving the Â鶹Éç site.

And if you’re thinking of buying a new radio, you might want to try a DAB digital radio and take advantage of the superior features of digital radio. You’ll find that Â鶹Éç Radio Devon is available on DAB digital radio throughout the Plymouth area, alongside the Â鶹Éç’s other digital radio services.

You can find out much more about digital radio –Ìý and check your coverage – on the Â鶹Éç's digital radio website.

But don’t forget: if you listen to Â鶹Éç Radio Devon on any frequency other than 855 AM, you don’t need to do anything. We’re not changing any of our other transmitters, so you shouldn’t experience any problems at all. That goes for listeners to our other medium-wave services in Barnstaple, Torbay and Exeter too – these aren’t affected by the trial.
