Ordinary places that we see every day are the inspiration for local artist Tom Deakins, whose exhibition of 'Places' can be seen at Chappel Galleries.

Tom Deakins has been painting for over 25 years and has exhibited all over East Anglia, England and as far a field as Tokyo.听

In this exhibition, 'Places', he paints familiar subjects that we see all around us.听 This could mean a field of corn, an alley way or a back garden.

Deakins explains that his inspiration starts with "a sense of place....I have returend to subjects that I feel a deep affinity with.听 Over time, through changing moods and seasons this familiarity has become deeply ingrainded."

The exhibition begins on Saturday 18th August and runs until Sunday 10th September.听 All of the works on display will also be available to purchase.
