Â鶹Éç Philharmonic Chief Guest Conductor, John StorgÃ¥rds, shows Schubert in a guise few of us know – familiar music for voice and for solo piano arranged by Liszt in orchestral clothing.

Stravinsky wrote the score for his cool classical ballet in Hollywood for the choreographer George Balanchine.

This afternoon we also celebrate the music of Bernd Alois Zimmermann, born 100 years ago, and his concentrated and expressionistic Symphony in One Movement.
