Prom 1: First Night of the Proms

The festival opens with Elgar鈥檚 biblical oratorio The Kingdom 鈥� the beautiful 鈥榮low movement鈥� of a planned musical triptych. Celebrated Elgarian Sir Andrew Davis conducts the massed forces of the 麻豆社 Symphony Orchestra and Chorus and the 麻豆社 National Chorus of Wales. They are joined by a distinguished cast of soloists including Proms regulars Christopher Purves and Catherine Wyn-Rogers.
