In Iceland, there鈥檚 no escaping the power of nature. Landscape is culture, and as the 麻豆社 Symphony Orchestra begins a day long immersion in the music of Iceland, a screening of the 麻豆社鈥檚 classic 2015 nature documentary Iceland: Land of Ice and Fire sets the scene. It鈥檚 followed by an introductory discussion of Iceland鈥檚 musical heritage: exploring what it means to make music in an environment where humanity, nature and geology co-exist in an unbreakable (but sometimes explosive) relationship.
