Concert Information

Shakespeare’s words get the choral treatment by an assortment of composers including Vaughan Williams, Kodály, Jaakko Mäntyjärvi and Giles Swayne.

England’s greatest poet-playwright has been an inspiration to many a choral composer, and not just British ones. This concert takes us on a tour of Shakespeare settings with origins as far apart as England, Finland and Hungary.
