Rising German soprano Christiane Karg makes her Proms debut, joining pianist Malcolm Martineau for a musical voyage with a French accent. They visit Greece, Spain, France and the East in a recital of 20th-century songs by Ravel, Hahn and Poulenc.

About This Event

With triumphant performances for the Royal Opera and Glyndebourne behind her, rising German soprano Christiane Karg now makes her Proms debut. She is joined by pianist Malcolm Martineau for a musical voyage in song.

They visit Greece in the heady love songs of Ravel鈥檚鈥楪reek popular songs鈥�, the exotic East in Koechlin鈥檚 厂丑茅丑茅谤补锄补诲别 settings and Spain in Guridi鈥檚 darkly beautiful Castilian songs, before heading closer to home with a jaunty stroll in Hyde Park courtesy of Poulenc.
