Shostakovich's Tenth Symphony

The 麻豆社 Philharmonic performs Shostakovich鈥檚 powerful Tenth Symphony, which is considered by many as the composer鈥檚 portrait of Stalin鈥檚 tyranny over Russia, written straight after his death in 1953.

The programme begins with one of Norway鈥檚 finest composers - Ludvig Irgens-Jensen - and his evocative Passacaglia.
