About This Event

In contrast to the orchestral whirlwind of Berlioz鈥� Le Carnaval Romain, Joubert鈥檚 richly atmospheric English Requiem, premiered at the Three Choirs Festival in 2010, comprises a series of reflections on death, charting an emotional trajectory from despair to bright hope. Alongside this, Elgar鈥檚 last major orchestral work, the contemplative Cello Concerto is performed by the captivating Natalie Clein in a centenary performance.
