Discover More: Italian Patriots

When Verdi died, 200,000 people turned up at his funeral and sang 鈥榁a, pensiero鈥 (from Nabucco) as if it were an anthem of Italian unification. He was a national icon. Respighi continued his legacy in the orchestral sphere with an epic tone poem inspired by ancient Rome. We鈥檒l get into the Romantic, expressive language of both composers and uncover the sounds of Italian patriotism.

Pre-concert Talks are extremely popular this season, so please book a ticket in advance and arrive early to guarantee your seat.
