'Fusion consists of bass, drums, guitar and keyboard, complemented with two male and one female vocal. The general effect of a live 'Fusion performance is of chilled-out wah-wah feed-back, inexorably entangled with organ-swirl and heavenly harmonized vocals, backed up by a pounding indie-dance beat. The emphasis is on unusual melodies and poetic lyrics. Rob Powell sings, plays keyboards, and occasional guitarA trained musician with a productive history in the industry. Some of his main influences include Pink Floyd, Supergrass, Ben Folds, The Beatles, The Pretty Things, The Doors and Soft Machine. ![]() Elaine Taylor plays bass and singsHer vocals have been compared to Carol King and some of her favourite acts are The Flaming Lips, The White Stripes, P J Harvey, David Bowie, Jefferson Airplane, Vanilla Fudge and Ten Years After. Alex Gwinn plays drumsHe is very fond of 60's garage psychedelic, such as 13th Floor Elevators, Chocolate Watch Band, Five Day Week Straw People and The Hunger. He also likes contemporary acts such as Beck, Gomez and The Bees. Nick Taylor plays guitar and sings/talksNick is a seasoned musician who has played in numerous bands. Bookings are now stacking up and 'Fusion can be witnessed performing their own special brand of indie psych at venues in and around the Worcester and Hereford area. You can listen to all the latest music from across the two counties on the Friday Session, every week from 7pm on 麻豆社 Hereford & Worcester.last updated: 28/02/2009 at 17:05 Have Your SayHave you ever seen 'Fusion live in concert?
