This contribution to People’s War was received by the Action Desk at Â鶹Éç Radio Norfolk and submitted to the website with the permission and on behalf of Mr. W. Maxey

On Good Friday morning at 2am in April 1941 a bomb dropped on our Village School. The village is North Witham, not far from Grantham, Lincs and about 1 mile off the A1. We schoolchildren were all sent to the Manor House and down to the cellar. After Easter our School was in the local Church vestry.
