He has lived in the Island, where he attended De
La Salle College, since the age of 13. Before studying law Gareth
worked in banking and qualified as an Associate of the Chartered
Institute of Bankers.
His
interests include five-a-side football, fishing, travelling and
skiing.
A novice
sailor prior to signing up as crew, he will be participating in
legs 3, 4 and 5. His interest in the race came about after taking
part in a corporate day on a Clipper 38 during the 2000 Race.
