He
is married to Fleur and has two wonderful sons, Kieran (7) and Oliver
(5).
Kerry
was educated at St. Clement’s then Mont Nicolle primary schools
before transferring to Les Quennevais School.
After
completing his education, he obtained a Business Diploma in Business
Finance and Accounting, and embarked on a career in the finance
industry.
Since
1997 he has been employed by Gartmore Fund Managers International
Limited as Financial Controller.
Kerry's
passion is speed, and all things fast. He loves motor-sport and
for many years has taken the annual pilgrimage to Le Mans for the
24 hour endurance race, as well as visiting various F1 races over
the years.
A family
man, he treasures spending as much time as possible with his wife
and children, family and friends, either at home in St. Brelade,
eating-out together or on his motorboat around the south coast of
the Island, away from the daily grind.
More
recently, Kerry has taken up a keen "onshore" interest
in yacht racing, following the exploits of various ocean races,
including of course the fantastic achievements of the Jersey Clipper
and crew in the 2000 Times Clipper Round the World Race.
It
was then that he decided to apply for the 2002 race and take up
both the mental and physical challenge of a round the world yacht
race, having only ever sailed before during school activity weeks
as a young lad!
