A Jerseyman, Marcus first learnt to sail while a
student at Victoria College but hasn't often had the opportunity
to sail since then.
After taking part in a corporate race day on a round-the-world
yacht a couple of years ago he rediscovered his love of the sport
and is now sailing at every chance he gets.
Marcus
is a senior manager at Itex and is taking part in leg 6 of the race
as a sabbatical after more than 13 years with the company.
He
is no stranger to representing Jersey in competition having twice
taken part in the World Surf Kayak Championships as part of the
Jersey team which came second in the event in Rio de Janeiro.
Marcus
lists his other interests as skiing and mountaineering.
