La
Rocque is great for sunbathing at low tide, great for swimming at
high tide, and never gets too crowded.

sheltered from prevailing westerly winds, but not so good when the
wind swings to the east.

sand is soft and white near the sea wall, but further down the beach
it is wet and hard, with shingle patches.
