Steve's research

Ìý

Steve's next job is to find out some information on all the points he has jotted down.

key pointSome of the information he needs can be:

  • Measured or tested, e.g. air and noise pollution
  • Gathered through observation and taking photographs, e.g. litter, graffiti and accessibility

To find out statistical information on the area, he contacts the local council, bus company and police force.

Steve then decides to find out some information for himself.

He designs a questionnaire, asking a cross-section of 50 people what they think of the quality of the college's environment.

Here it is.

Environmental questionnaire. Asks the subject for: occupation; gender; age; the area they live and work; the quality of the environment.

Click here to open the questionnaire in its own window. You can print it from there if you want to.

Go next to look at some tips for writing reports.
