It is interesting to note that the cost of the carpet is massively the biggest input to the project. This is because someone else did the hard work! You could either save money by doing it yourself or sticking with the old carpet.
You can show the contribution of each part of the project by using a pie chart. This will make it clear how the money is being spent. A spreadsheet is the best tool for this task.

We also assumed that you had all of the tools needed for the job. If not then you'll have to add things like paint brushes, white spirit (to clean them in) and so on. You could include a 'tools' section in your pie chart. Also, carpets really needed gripper strips to hold them down at the edges. So, there are lots of issues that we should draw attention to in evaluating our work.
Finally, don't forget that it is helpful to use on-line calculators to check that your answers are reasonable, but your project report needs to have the full calculations included!
