Level 2 - Tutor's Toolkit - Application of Number: Interpreting Results and Presenting Findings Index
I wish to look at:
P1 - Select effective ways to present your findings
Information guiding tutors to sections of the Number Toolkit that deal with the presentation of findings.
P2 - Construct and use graphs, charts and diagrams and follow accepted conventions for labelling these
This section explains what students need to know about the conventions of labelling graphs and how to label axes for discrete and continuous data. There is also information on how graphs and charts can prove misleading.
P3 - Highlight the main points of your findings and describe your methods
This advises how to annotate calculations, charts, graphs, tables and diagrams. It also describes how to use mathematical language to describe calculation methods.
P4 - Explain how the results of your calculations meet the purpose of your activity
This section highlights how students should make 'real world' statements from mathematical calculations. It also explains how to make statments from charts, graphs, tables and diagrams. There is an overview of the process of mathematical modelling.
