The Same Yet.Pub in Simister, Prestwich.Was originally called The Bulls Head and got it's name changed in the late 1800s when a signwriter asked what to paint the new sign. The busy landlord answered "Same Yet". It's kept that name ever since.

Hello there, I ate in the Hark to Bounty in Slaidburn when I stayed at the Slaidburn YH on my cycle ride from Land's End to John O'Groats in June 2003. I remember it well as a great pub restaurant, with excellent food and great service. May be I had a particularly ravenous appetite due to my cycling exertions. In Abergavenny, there is the locally famous "Hen & Chickens", with good food and real ale. Near Pontypool, along the old Mon Brecon canal, is the "Open Hearth", again a locally well known real ale establishment. And not far away in Risca, Gwent, is the "Forge Hammer", in memory of local industry, nowlong gone. Thanks for the site, interesting topic. Best regards Timm Frenzel
