Agate
Meaning: No idea on spelling but phonetically is "agate" or
"aget" - meaning "said". Usually used to describe
another person's boastfulness or overstatement. As in: "Ah, yer should
have heard Jim last night, his agate 'Ya should see my new Plasma screen,
it's humungous!'
I used to hear this all the time, but not so much now that I live in London...

Apeth
Meaning: crazy - "tha daft apeth!"
Sue Millard added this...
Just to add: "apeth" is short for "half pennyworth",
"ha'p'orth", ie, not worth much.. "Daft" is "silly".
"Tha daft 'aporth" effectively means "you silly nothing!"
