Je suis banquier
I am
a banker
Je suis attachée de
presse
I am
a press officer (woman)
When stating your profession you
don't need to use the word 'a' or 'an' (called an article) as you
do in English.
The same job titles are
used here for both men and women. There may be changes in the written form, but
in speech they sound alike:
- attachée de presse refers to a woman and
therefore ends with an e
- attaché de presse refers to a
man
- je suis chargée
de marketing, a
woman marketing director
- je suis chargé
de marketing - a
man.
