People in German-speaking countries usually say their surname when they answer the phone. For example:
碍谤眉驳别谤! or Kr眉ger hier!

Auf Wiederh枚ren is used to say good-bye on the phone (literally 'until we hear from each other again').

If you get the answerphone, der Anrufbeantworter, don't panic. Simply leave your message, die Nachricht, after the beep, nach dem Ton.
