called prepositions. Note how der in
der Tod and das
in das Jahr change to
dem Tod and dem
Jahr; die in die Arbeit changes to der
Arbeit.

In the plural

Jahren. This is the same for all nouns in the plural unless they
end in n or s.
These changes are triggered
