Smoking is used in many other languages. it comes from "smoking suit" or "smoking jacket", but the second word is omitted -- not a mistake. Awesome video anyway! and bodybag just made my day:)

Perhaps, being a man, Henning doesn't know of the "slip" slip! Go to the doctor's and be told to keep on your slip, but take every thing else off? First doctor's visit of many year's Aufenthalt in Germany - standing in a slip (waist petticoat) and no pants on? Only understood my slip many months later! It was a classic story for giving courses at the Volkshochschulen, though!

Fitnesscenter is not all that odd. But many Germans actually say Wellnesscenter which sounds odder.

I have used the word EVERGREEN for many years to describe old songs. It is listed in the Oxford Concise dictionary.
