There
I was, a total nobody, standing with my husband quietly listening
to what was being said. Then she walked over and asked me,
" Would you like to tell your story of a particular Christmas
memory?".
What would you have said? This was for the Â鶹Éç. I was lost.
I've never done anything special or out of the ordinary.
Right from a child Christmas was...well just Christmas. I opened
my presents, ate Christmas dinner, watched my Mum and Dad carefully
listening to the Queen's speech then went to bed.
As I grew up nothing really changed. I left home almost as soon
as I left school, got myself one of many jobs and got on with
living. I am married, have three children and try to take care
of them as best I can.
Each day is much the same as the last - housework, shopping,
all the same things every other mother does. Right now I am
racking my brains trying to think of what to get the kids for
Christmas and is there enough cash to go around?
No I can't think of anything I've done, certainly nothing special
or out of the ordinary. And here I am, being asked by the Â鶹Éç
to tell you my story.
Maybe that's it! This year is special for me. A total nobody
rambling on but this time on the radio.
