Clive Gerrard

"I used to work for Laker Airways, based in Gatwick, from l979-l983, as a passsenger handling assistant.

Freddie Laker was a fantastic man to work for, if we were busy, he’d come down to the hangars and help out the engineers.

In those days, he offered a one way flight to New York - on his SKYTRAIN - for £59.

I wonder if anyone who worked for Laker remembers those days with affection, as I do?
