During the consultation, the Â鶹Éç published a set of nine impact briefings setting out the unique value the Â鶹Éç provides in key sectors and content areas – Sport, News, Comedy, Music, Arts & Culture, Children’s & Education, Independent Producers, Science & Nature, and the Â鶹Éç World Service.
The briefings aim to provide the public, and anyone considering engaging with the Charter Review process, a collection of key facts and statistics that offer more of an insight into the role the Â鶹Éç plays at the heart of the UK’s world-class creative industries.
Ultimately, our Charter aim is to secure a universal public service Â鶹Éç for a generation. We are therefore asking the UK Government to deliver reform that will strengthen our independence, secure sustainable and fair funding, and enable us to respond to the changing needs of audiences with speed and agility.
We believe that all those who care about this country, our democracy, our creative economy, and our standing in the world should be making the case for a strong, universal public service Â鶹Éç.
