So - the master of garage and the master of power pop songwriting, together in a 'new band made up of old friends'. Expectations are high, and the huge crowd is treated to half an hour of Ennio Morricone musical scores before Jack, Brendan and co step out onto a stage lit in blood red. Jack is on fire tonight, and we are all loving it.

In fact, I am now convinced that Jack White has the power to heal; a young guy hobbling around on crutches suddenly waves them both skyward and attempts to jump up and down! Unfortunately, I am distracted by a group of guys waving an inflatable doll at me, and so I make my escape, but not before I've had a healthy dose of garage blues genuis.
