Showjumping - Hickstead Derby
Since its inception over 40 years ago the Derby has earned a reputation as one of the toughest tests on the equestrian calendar.
Last year's winner, veteran John Whitaker, is out to become the first rider to record five victories in the event, surpassing the four consecutive wins by Ireland's Eddie Macken and Boomerang.
Whitaker narrowly beat off competition from his niece Ellen, one of the rising stars of British showjumping.
He can expect another challenge from the Whitaker clan this year.
Norwich Union Grand Prix
We move from four legs to two later in the afternoon with Hazel Irvine introducing live athletics from the Norwich Union Grand Prix in Sheffield.
The meeting is the culmination of the UK outdoor season and gives fans a chance to see some of the stars of the World Athletics Championships in the flesh.
The Don Valley Stadium could also be the venue for Dame Kelly Holmes' final British track appearance.
The double Olympic gold medallist missed the worlds with a troublesome Achilles injury but may still compete at next year's Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
