Filmmaking on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

Ìý

Director: Justin Edgar

Age: 36

Brief Biography: I grew up with a cinema at one end of my street and a video shop at the other and it was all downhill from there.

What's the best aspect of directing films: Being on set and working with the crew and actors as you see the film coming to life.

And the worst: I get bored in post; it takes so long to do so little. You see the film over and over again creeping towards the finishing post bit by bit. I much prefer the immediacy of being on set.

Never be on set without: My shot list and sides which I keep folded up in my left back pocket with a pen!

Budget for Special People: £12,000

Top tip for film making: Forget about development, it sucks the life out of projects. Have something to say, get a script you’re vaguely happy with and go and shoot it. If you know what you’re doing it’ll work for the audience. I don’t believe in scripts I’m afraid, they’re boring!
