What was on offer?

Feet

Sketch Factor offered the unique opportunity to join the writing team of a brand new sketch show for Â鶹Éç Radio 4.

The 10 best entrants joined a writers' academy where they were mentored by leading comedy writers.

Their work will now be broadcast on Â鶹Éç Radio 4 early in 2007, as part of a new comedy sketch show, entitled ''.

What were we looking for?

We wanted you to write two sketches for the show, with the idea being to create new ideas within an existing framework.

The show draws its inspiration from the idea of information overload – there are more ways to communicate than ever before but that doesn’t mean we have anything to communicate.

Ìý

Who could enter?

Sketch Factor was open to anyone 18 years or over who had never had a comedy commission on national radio.

We regarded a 'commission' to include:

- sole authored piece of comedy of 15 minutes or over
- regular commission on a sketch show

Not included in the definition of commission were:

- individual gags
- non-commissioned material e.g. a sketch submittted via an open door show that was then broadcast.
