Nottingham's Council House was completed in 1929.
The Council House has an inbuilt vacuum cleaner.
Each coat of arms is meant to be distinctive yet Nottingham's coat of arms is the same as that of Colchester and Cologne.

The ante room is unofficially named the tea room - this is where the ladies used to have their cuppas whilst the men dealt with business in 1929.
The ante room has sycamore paneling which is very rare.
