Cyber bullying video still
The victim was punched and also burned

Mum's plea to stop cyber bullying

A Nottingham mother is calling for a national campaign to stop cyber bullying after a video showing her son being beaten was posted on a website.

The footage, which was uploaded on the video-sharing website YouTube, shows a teenager being beaten twice while he begs his attacker to stop.

The woman said her son had also been burnt three times on the arm by bullies and hit in the mouth in other attacks.

The boy will not return to school until his safety can be guaranteed, she said.

Rushcliffe School confirmed it was investigating the incident and a teenager had been permanently excluded.

Nottinghamshire Police has asked the US site to remove the clip. The film has now been removed from the website.

The victim's mother told Â鶹Éç News: "I felt as if my insides were being ripped out while I was wide awake.

"I would do anything for my son not to have to through this.

"It makes me feel sick that kids would do this to another child.

"The government has got to step in and do something stronger."

Nottinghamshire Police said it was investigating the case.
