We're in the old medieval keeping or division of Sherwood Forest known as Lyndhurst. Here you'll find an old medieval hermitage. It was inhabited by a monk who looked after this sacred space.

This is the setting for the story of Robin Hood and the Curtal Friar - who later evolved into Friar Tuck.
