hear regional accents all the time now on radio and television and having
an accent no longer means that that people think of you as working class.
So if you speak with a lovely Irish lilt or a Brumie Brogue, how can other
people tell if you're posh or not? Is what you say more important than

secret of slang
We've
been discussing how the English language is developing. Do you feel that
people have stopped speaking 'proper' English, and have lapsed into lazy
ways of speech? Or is it simply that we're more relaxed about the way
