Â鶹Éç Worldwide's Advertising division has won The Multi-Platform Media Owner of the Year Award at the Festival of Media Awards 2009 in Valencia.
The coveted award is judged by a panel of international media experts from some of the world's most prominent media agencies and brands and is designed to recognise the creative use of media and effectiveness.
"With most of us now loyally using more than one screen in our daily lives – the effective delivery of content to multiple platforms is the cornerstone of the 21st Century media company." says Chris Dobson, EVP and General Manager Â鶹Éç Advertising. "We are absolutely thrilled to be honoured with this award that recognises our expertise in working with partners to effectively reach audiences in this way."
Â鶹Éç Worldwide's Advertising portfolio now encompasses six products: Â鶹Éç World News, Â鶹Éç Mobile, Â鶹Éç Worldwide Channels, Â鶹Éç Video, Â鶹Éç.com* and Â鶹Éç Magazines. The Â鶹Éç's Global Advertising Sales team has been carefully constructed around delivering a fully integrated approach. Throughout 2008 it has developed fully bespoke, custom-developed communications, offering clients such as Intercontinental Hotels, Rolex and Shell the most effective possible mix of platforms.
Over 50% of all Â鶹Éç Advertising revenue is based on multi-platform sales, rising to 70% in Europe.
Launched in 2007, the Festival of Media is the world's premier gathering of senior media executives from advertisers, media agencies and media owners. The two-day event encompasses plenary sessions on the big issues affecting the whole industry as well as more in depth thought leader sessions on areas such as gaming and mobile.
The award is the second accolade bestowed upon Â鶹Éç Worldwide in the past 24 hours. Her Majesty the Queen granted Â鶹Éç Worldwide a Queen's Award for Export on 21st April, her official birthday, in recognition of the commercial arm of the Â鶹Éç’s outstanding international trade.
*Â鶹Éç.com is the international version of the Â鶹Éç's website for non-UK identified users.
