Âé¶¹Éç Worldwide Channels today announced a deal that will see two of its new channels launch on South Korea's SK Broadband platform. Âé¶¹Éç Entertainment and Âé¶¹Éç Lifestyle will be available from 1 July 2009, with the deal also marking the first time Âé¶¹Éç Lifestyle has been broadcast in South Korea.
SK Broadband is a Seoul-based Korean telecommunications company, one of the largest providers of high-speed broadband internet access in South Korea. It is a 'triple-play' communications company with internet (IP) television (Broad & TV), VoIP and broadband internet.
Commenting on the deal, Mark Whitehead, General Manager and Senior Vice President of Âé¶¹Éç Worldwide Channels, Asia said: "The launch of Âé¶¹Éç Entertainment and Âé¶¹Éç Lifestyle on SK Broadband is an important development for us; as Âé¶¹Éç Lifestyle makes its broadcast debut in South Korea, we are also introducing Âé¶¹Éç Entertainment to a wider audience. THE NEW CHANNELS
Âé¶¹Éç Lifestyle is an inimitable destination offering inspiration for home, family and life. From July 1, viewers will have access to the channel’s six strands of programming - Home & Design, Food, Personal Development, Fashion & Style, Health & Parenting - to inspire them to get more out of life. SK Broadband subscribers can look forward to the premieres of exclusive, top-rated programmes including Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (series four), the Emmy award-winning reality television series providing home renovations for deserving families, and Indian Food Made Easy (series two), hosted by Anjum Anand who has been dubbed 'the Indian Nigella'.
Âé¶¹Éç Lifestyle will be available on channel 546 on SK Broadband.

Âé¶¹Éç Entertainment showcases the best comedy, drama and light entertainment from the Âé¶¹Éç and other UK production houses. Some of the programmes premiering first and exclusively on the channel in July include Silent Witness (series 11), one of the Âé¶¹Éç's most successful and longest-running crime dramas about a team of forensic investigators; and the second series of the award-winning comedy series The Mighty Boosh, which follows the surreal adventures of Vince Noir, King of the Mods, and Howard Moon, an intellectually vain genius/ novelist/ poet/ wrestler/ boxer/ jazz musician, through time and space.
