Â鶹Éç Worldwide's Channels business announced today it is launching three brand new Â鶹Éç channels in Malaysia; Â鶹Éç Knowledge, Â鶹Éç Lifestyle and CBeebies will be available on Telekom Malaysia Berhad's (TM) HyppTV platform starting 29 March.

The launch of the channels will represent the first time that Â鶹Éç Knowledge and Â鶹Éç Lifestyle and CBeebies will be available to audiences in Malaysia.

Mark Whitehead, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Â鶹Éç Worldwide Channels Asia, commented on the launch of the three channels: "We are excited to be part of TM’s project to bring broadband and IPTV to all of Malaysia."

"Malaysia is an important market for Â鶹Éç Worldwide and our partnership with TM builds on our commitment to bring great quality programming to more viewers in Asia," he added.

TM's IPTV service will be available to all their High Speed Broadband and broadband subscribers free of charge from March until September 2010,

The new Â鶹Éç channels on HyppTV

Â鶹Éç Knowledge showcases to high-quality factual entertainment from Â鶹Éç, the world’s foremost producer of non-fiction and documentary programming, including the latest series of Top Gear, the BAFTA and multi-NTA and Emmy Award-winning Â鶹Éç television programme watched by over 150 million households in more than 100 countries. Other programmes on the channel include The Apprentice (UK) and Dragon's Den.
Â鶹Éç Knowledge will be available on Channel 141.

Â鶹Éç Lifestyle offers inspiration for home, family and life. The channel offers six strands of programming to entertain engage and inspire viewers - home and design, food, personal development, fashion and style, health and parenting. Popular programmes on the channel include How to Look Good Naked, Gordon Ramsay: Cookalong Live and Grand Designs.
Â鶹Éç Lifestyle will be available on Channel 140.

CBeebies, the channel for pre-school children provides a high-quality, interactive, entertaining and educational experience for pre-school children, offering them a safe haven in which to learn about, and enjoy, the world around them. CBeebies offers internationally-acclaimed and award-winning household favourites such as Teletubbies, In the Night Garden and Charlie & Lola.
Programmes on the channel emphasise educational entertainment and are supported by the core Â鶹Éç values, ensuring they are trustworthy, reliable and informative. CBeebies provides a safe, non-violent environment for the channel’s viewers.
CBeebies will be available on Channel 130.
